Basil Jung has al­ways been fas­cin­ated by tech­no­logy. After com­plet­ing his ap­pren­tice­ship as an auto­ma­tion tech­ni­cian at Stadler Rail, he began study­ing soft­ware de­vel­op­ment. He com­pleted his Bach­el­or of Sci­ence in sys­tems en­gin­eer­ing with a major in com­puter en­gin­eer­ing at the OST Uni­ver­sity of Ap­plied Sci­ences in St. Gal­len and at the Oulu Uni­ver­sity of Ap­plied Sci­ences in Fin­land. He was par­tic­u­larly in­ter­ested in hol­ist­ic sys­tems and Webap­plic­a­tions, which then was the focus of his bach­el­or thes­is. Basil Jung sup­ports papilio in his role as a ju­ni­or soft­ware en­gin­eer and works as a full stack de­veloper. He is re­spons­ible for fur­ther de­vel­op­ing the web solu­tion enAC, op­tim­iz­ing soft­ware pro­cesses and im­ple­ment­ing new ap­plic­a­tions and pro­cesses. In his free time, he feels most com­fort­able in the moun­tains and the snow and can be found on freeride-, tour­ing- or carving skis.
